ABOUT ME

"I'm a longtime writer and editor who believes life is an adventure. I help others tell their stories with clarity and honesty."

I am an award-winning writer, journalist, and editor based in Boulder, Colorado. My journalism career began in a newsroom. I covered environmental issues for Wyoming’s Jackson Hole News and the Bend Bulletin in Bend, Oregon before being selected in 2004 as one of four fellows for the prestigious Ted Scripps Fellowship in Environmental Journalism at CU-Boulder. Following the fellowship I settled in Boulder, Colorado, took an editing job at Skiing Magazine, and eventually went freelance in 2007. I contribute to a range of magazines, newspapers, and websites. Read More Here: My skills are diverse and extensive. My published essays and reported stories include in-depth profiles, health and travel service packages, and more personal ruminations on family, connection, and my own evolution and growth. I also create digital and custom content for clients and manage corporate ambassador programs. I’m a natural networker and love making inspired and impactful connections. In addition to my commercial writing and editing, I’m at work on a novel and have completed a memoir about my failed attempts to transform a green thoroughbred racehorse into a competitive three-day eventer. I’ve been awarded fellowships at the MacDowell Colony, Breadloaf Writers Conference, Aspen Words, and Squaw Valley Community of Writers.
